Easy Hazelnut Chocolate Bars Recipe

Before diving into this Hazelnut Chocolate Bars recipe, I want to wish all of you Happy New Year and may 2017 be a fruitful year to you all 🙏🏽.

Now back to the topic. This recipe is a bit of nostalgia to me. When I first started experimenting on making desserts back when I was young, I have always loved to bring them back to school and share it with all my friends. Gradually, people start to expect you to bring homemade goodies regularly which I enjoyed doing. Since a young age, I have always thought giving food is something that bonds people together. Hence my love for food.

However, there were times I don’t have that much time on my hands to bake. Baking and all that is quite time consuming sometimes. But I really wanted to make something for occasions at school and make all my friends happy. So here comes this incredibly easy and time-saving Hazelnut Chocolate Bars recipe where I can whip up this snack in no time and satisfy a good little crowd.

In a nutshell, this Hazelnut Chocolate Bars recipe calls for quality chocolate and flavours from toasted nuts. After melting the chocolate, you mix in the toasted nuts, layer it out on a tray and refrigerate it till it sets. I used a mix of hazelnuts, almonds, as well as adding cornflakes to generate a light crisp.

It takes about an hour or so for the chocolate to set. After that, you simply chop them up into even portions – typically in squares, before serving. I normally chop them up and place them into a tin or pack them into individual packets to hand out to people. If you fancy, feel free to set the chocolate mixture in cookie moulds so that it comes out in different shapes!

The best part about this Hazelnut Chocolate Bars recipe is that it is a no-fail guaranteed one. The worst that can happen is probably burning the nuts while toasting them or extremely poor quality chocolate that taste horrendous. Otherwise, nothing can possibly go wrong with this recipe. The recipe is one I would always categorize as “quick and easy to impress” with minimal effort. Give it a try and go treat your friends with these easy-to-make Hazelnut Chocolate Bars!
