Easy Tandoori Air Fryer Lamb Chops Recipe

Have you ever thought about cooking lamb chops with an air fryer? I understand it may initially come across as a slightly dubious idea but, once you’ve tried it, it’s almost like a game-changer. Not only is it easy to make, but it’s quick and comes with zero fuss. Additionally, you’d be surprised how juicy the lamb chops turn out from the air fryer as well! In this post, I’d be sharing how I make these easy tandoori flavoured air fryer lamb chops which I’m sure would be as much of a popular hit as it is in my home!

It’s a really simple 3-step process – marinate, pop the lamb chops into the air fryer, and flip. I usually like to prepare the marinade the night before and let the meat marinate overnight. Then 10-15 minutes is all that’s needed on the day of cooking. You can even prep and marinate the lamb chops beforehand and keep them in the freezer (more details on the recipe notes section below). It’s seriously such an ideal recipe to have up your sleeves for quick weeknight meals.

For serving ideas, why not try out these Air Fryer Dishoom Gunpowder Potatoes and/or Air Fryer Roast Corn on the Cob! Alternatively, it also goes terrifically well with a rice pilau too.

Recipe notes

  • Marinate your lamb chops for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight.
  • You can also prepare & marinate the lamb chops beforehand and keep them in the freezer for up to 3 months. To cook the lamb chops, simply defrost in the fridge and cook within 24 hours.
  • It is recommended to preheat the air fryer before cooking. This is because it can give the meat a little sear and also ensures that the meat is being cooked straightaway.
  • You should brush oil onto the lamb chops before air frying. This helps to keep the meat from burning too easily.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer. When cooking the lamb chops, line them up in one layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if need to. This is to ensure that the meat is cooked evenly.
  • Please note that cooking times may differ depending on the thickness of your lamb chops.
