Calling all donut lovers, you must check out The Treats Club’s new shop in Shoreditch! Get ready for a sugar rush because this place is going to deliver above & beyond. The Treats Club has been on my radar since their Netil Market pop-up days. I didn’t manage to visit then but ever since trying them at Seven Dials Market a few years back, I’ve been hooked and never looked elsewhere for donuts since. Those fresh hot donuts had me totally obsessed from the very get-go. From there, I’ve tried to catch them at the Selfridges Christmas market as well as ordering the highly anticipated Eid Doughnut Box each year. So it’s safe to say I was absolutely ecstatic to hear about The Treats Club’s new opening.
You can find the new home of The Treats Club on Hackney Road in Shoreditch. Stepping in, you’d be greeted with its huge neon sign and an alluring display of doughnuts. Should you wish to sit down, there are a few seats available inside the shop. It may not be a huge or the most comfortable space, but it’s certainly full of its own charm and character.
The Treats Club: Halal Marshmallow & Hot Donuts, Always Handmade
The reason why The Treats Club’s donuts are so addictively good is that everything is freshly handmade and cooked to order. You just can’t beat that. Lungi Mhlanga, the founder of The Treats Club, developed her own recipe for these epic doughnuts and the rest is history. No matter how big the operation gets, these donuts will still be handmade to ensure the best quality.
Diversity & inclusion is also a core mission at The Treats Club. The Business is female-owned & led, and a proud black-owned business that is leading the way in celebrating diversity in the industry. With that being said, everything at The Treats Club is 100% vegetarian & halal so everyone can fully enjoy everything on the menu. This includes their signature marshmallow, which is freshly handmade from scratch in-house and only a very few rare places in town does that.

S’mores Hot Chocolate
Before diving into the donuts, we had their signature S’mores Hot Chocolate, which no doubt is one of the best hot chocolates in London. It’s incredibly rich, velvety and chocolatey to taste, with an added decadence from the torched marshmallow fluff. The marshmallow is completely halal, handmade from scratch each day and makes an incredibly indulgent treat.
Deep-fried Oreo Donuts
If there’s only one thing you can try at The Treats Club, make that these Deep-fried Oreo Donuts. They come served with a moreish white chocolate sauce and their signature s’mores. As always, these donuts are outrageously good. They are simply the dreamiest pillows of joy. It satisfies every ounce of indulgence and it’s the most decadent donut dessert combo one can ask for. As mentioned, the donuts are cooked-to-order so you’ll have to wait for a few minutes, but it’ll be so worth it.
Hot Donuts
We also tried out some hot donut rings and went with the Miso Biscoff and the Strawberry & White Chocolate flavours. Again, you’ll get these freshly hot out of the fryer, which is most certainly the magic component of making these donuts so tremendously good. Krispy Kreme has got nothing on them. The Miso Biscoff is my personal favourite out of the two, which has a lovely caramelised touch of flavour and is lusciously rich to taste.
Food Review Summary
The Treats Club has been winning hearts since the very start and, with the new shop opening, is only going to take things to new heights. Every flavour and product is truly a labour of love and, no matter what you get, you won’t be left disappointed. Keep your eyes peeled over The Treat’s Club socials as they regularly release seasonal flavours & treats which you definitely don’t want to miss!
