In a bowl, mix together tuna, onions, jalapenos, peri peri, and mayo. Season with a pinch of salt & black pepper.
224 g Tinned Tuna, ¼ cup White Onions, Jalapenos (fresh/pickled), Peri Peri sauce, ¼ cup Mayo, Salt & Black Pepper
Spread the tuna mix onto each bagel halves. Top them with grated cheese.
2 Bagels, ½ cup Cheese
Place in the air fryer and cook at 180°C for 5 minutes until golden. Serve warm.
Notes
Oil-packed vs brine-packed tinned tuna. You can use either one to make this tuna melt sandwich. I personally like to use oil-packed tuna because they tend to be meatier and richer in flavour.
You may replace the peri peri sauce with another hot sauce of your choice. Please do play around with the amount to add to the tuna according to your own taste.
