Every lunar new year, it’s tradition that Sambal Shiok does the Yee Sang Prosperity Toss. It used to be a supper club thing at their Holloway Road shop and it’s now a delivery item since last year. Yee Sang Prospoerity Toss symbolises good luck, good health and good wealth. Each portion serves around 4 and is consisted of carrot, coriander, cucumber, daikon radish, fried wonton skin, lime, pickled ginger, plum sauce, pomelo, prawn cracker, red cabbage, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, seasoning spices, and smoked salmon. They say the higher you toss, the more luck the new year will bring!

The afternoon tea menu is designed by their award-winning Executive Pastry Chef Cherish Finden, who you might recognise as the Bake Off Creme de la Creme judge. It features an exquisite selection of handcrafted Tiger Year Pastries, a Prosperity Box, dim sums, and is completed with its excellent range of teas. Each guest will also be gifted a wishing card which they can fill out and tie onto the hotel’s honourable Bonsai.
