Garlic Parsley Pasta Recipe

Again I must emphasise the beauty of pasta – it offers so much varieties and can be made super simple. Here’s, once again, a recipe to a simple weeknight pasta dinner. One that’s incredibly cheap and only requires simple ‘pantry ingredients’. The main ingredients are simply garlic, chilli flakes and parsley. You can easily serve this Garlic Parsley Pasta with either seafood, fish, or lemon chicken or whatever matches the flavours!

My favourite is to add some mixed seafood with it. And my secret to make this extra delicious with the seafood is to add anchovies to the recipe, which highly elevates the flavours. Alternatively I think the pasta goes extremely with roasted sea bass or lemon chicken! The options are vast for this pasta. Or if your bank account is being rather tight for the month, even the plain version of the dish alone is good enough to satisfy your taste buds. In addition, it only takes only 15-20 minutes to make!

Ingredients

  • 3 cloves of Garlic
  • Chilli Flakes
  • handful of Parsley
  • Pasta (I used Linguine)
  • Salt & Black Pepper
  • Parmesan Cheese, grated

How to make

Cook pasta in salted water according to package instructions.

In the meantime, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a pan. Fry the garlic and chilli until fragrant. Add in the parsley, give it a quick stir and also add the cooked pasta.

Season with salt and freshly grounded pepper. Toss until everything’s mixed evenly.

Last but not least, grate some Parmesan cheese over it and serve immediately.

Less is more and simplicity is key. It’s amazing how such simple ingredients can create such stunning flavours! Now you know of these easy recipes, there’s really no excuses for people to not cook. It’s quick, it’s super cheap to make, and it’s ridiculously easy to put together. As much as I love eating out, I still always spend time cooking. I live a city-life and I understand it gets really tiring to cook. I understand it’s so much easier to just walk into a restaurant round the corner and go straight to bed once I get home. However, with recipes like this, even the busiest of times you can always squeeze in that 15-20 minutes to make this. As a result, you have no idea how much money I managed to save (city-life isn’t exactly cheap!) without mistreating my belly and taste buds!
