I think the London Bridge area will always hold a special place in my heart. It will always remind me of my young 18-year-old self first arriving in London, and it’s the first area I explored. Borough Market, especially, was the highlight that had me fall in love with all its amazing food options. Come spend a day with me at the London Bridge area and discover the best food and where to eat in the area!
I remember strolling down Borough Market, all fascinated with the food stalls and falling in love with the London charm. So here I am again, revisiting the area, but this time taking you guys together with me on a little food-hopping session around London Bridge!

Where to Eat in London Bridge
Monmouth Coffee
In my opinion, Monmouth Coffee serves one of the best coffees around London. It’s just impossible to resist that alluring smell of coffee as you step into the shop! We started the day there with a cup of latte, which tasted strong, rich and velvety. I’m a coffee person, and I couldn’t ask for a better coffee from Monmouth’s to kick start my day. If you’re an avid coffee lover, the shop also sells fresh coffee beans and freshly ground coffee to take home.
Arabica Borough Market
Then, just a few steps away, we popped over to Arabica Borough Market for a proper breakfast. We had the Arabica Fry Up, which is a nice tweak from a traditional English fry-up. It’s got a bed of fried eggs, topped with Arabica’s house-cured lamb bacon, beef sujuk, roast tomato, mushrooms, and Za’atar bread. Our favourite part was the lamb bacon, which was particularly juicy and flavoursome!
We then washed it all down with a cup of Turkish-style coffee. Though interestingly, it wasn’t exactly like a traditional Turkish coffee. Instead, it was an aromatically brewed coffee with a spike of green cardamon flavours. It came along with some delicious Turkish delights.

Borough Market
After Arabica, it’s only natural to stroll around Borough Market next door. When it comes to London Bridge options, Borough Market is definitely at the top of the list. There’s a reason why it’s being loved so much by both tourists and locals alike. From spices to fresh produce to exotic meats, there is a lot to see at the market. But the main thing I enjoy the most is definitely for its food!
Bread Ahead Bakery
No visit to Borough Market is complete without a visit to Bread Ahead Bakery. Their famous doughnuts alone are a sufficient reason to visit Borough Market. They say their Vanilla Doughnuts are the best-seller, but my personal favourite is the Caramel & Honeycomb flavour!
Mei Mei
A relatively new addition to Borough Market, Mei Mei has stood out to me by offering the London food scene a range of classic Singaporean dishes. We shared their Kaya Toast, along with a cup of Teh Tarik and Milo.
The Kaya Toast has hit the spot perfectly and pairs perfectly with my Teh Tarik. I couldn’t ask for a better afternoon pick-me-up than this! And if you’re looking for a full meal, they also have dishes like Nasi Lemak and Hainanese Chicken Rice, etc.

Khanom Krok
These mini coconut pancakes from Khanom Krok ought to be one of my favourite go-to spots in Borough Market. The Thai food stall is one of the very few places that does this traditional street food snack and they are always a delight!
Nanny Bill’s at Vinegar Yard
Just when you’re starting to feel bored about the never-ending burger joints around London, Nanny Bill’s stands out from the crowd with some real quality burgers. They have a spot at Vinegar Yard, a buzzy outdoor venue with music, food & drinks, vintage shops, etc. In particular, we’ve got my eyes set on Nanny Bill’s for their signature Dalston Dip burger.
The Dalston Dip Burger is not just your regular burger. In a nutshell, it’s a gourmet double cheeseburger served with a lip-smacking dipping gravy. In addition to burgers, they also do a mean Mac & Cheese Croquette!

Flour & Grape
From Vinegar Yard, we took a leisure stroll down Bermondsey Street for Flour & Grape. There’s something very charming about the area, away from the crowds of Borough Market. Flour & Grape has received so much hype in London and is easily one of my favourite pasta spots around town. The Truffle Taglierini is a real winner and must-order. How could one resist a plate of al-dente freshly made pasta with an alluring buttery and truffle aroma?!
While many braces the humongous queue for Padella when in the London Bridge area, I’d highly recommend taking a short walk away for Flour & Grape because it’s pure pasta heaven there with shorter queues!
