Have you ever thought about cooking lamb chops with an air fryer? I understand it may initially come across as a slightly dubious idea, but once you’ve tried it, it’s almost like a game-changer. Not only is it easy to make, but it’s quick and comes with zero fuss. Additionally, you’d be surprised by how juicy the lamb chops turn out from the air fryer! In this post, I’d be sharing how I make these easy tandoori flavoured air fryer lamb chops, which I’m sure would be as much of a popular hit with you as it is in my home!
Why You’d Love This Air Fryer Tandoori Lamb Chops Recipe
This recipe calls for a 2-stage marination to really enhance the flavour depth of the tandoori lamb chops. The first marinade is mainly for tenderising the meat and building the base flavour. Then the second marinade is to build up the flavour layers, incorporating all the various spices and adding colour to the meat. It may sound like it’s a lot of work, but really, it’s super simple. I like to prep the marination the evening before and leave the lamb chops to marinate overnight. The next day, I could just go on about my day and simply pop these marinated lamb chops into the air fryer to cook – it’s honestly so easy that it feels as if it’s cheating!

Recipe Notes
- You can also prepare & marinate the lamb chops beforehand and keep them in the freezer for up to 3 months. To cook the lamb chops, simply defrost in the fridge and cook within 24 hours.
- Preheating the air fryer before cooking is recommended. This is because it can give the meat a little sear and also ensures that the meat is being cooked straightaway.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer. When cooking the lamb chops, line them up in one layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if need to. This is to ensure that the meat is cooked evenly.
- Please note that cooking times may differ depending on the thickness of your lamb chops.
