London Halal Food Places showing the World Cup 2022

Four years later, the most anticipated football event in the world is back! The World Cup 2022 tournament is going to kick off in Qatar on Sunday 20th November, with a total of 64 matches to the finals on Sunday 18th December. Looking for a place to sit down and catch all the live action with your friends? We’ve put together a list of halal food places in London that are going to show the World Cup games so you can enjoy both the game and some food! All these places are going to be busy (as you would expect with anything in London!), so reservations are highly recommended where possible.

Where to watch the World Cup in London with halal food available

Berenjak Borough

Earlier this year, Berenjak opened a new branch in Borough with bigger space and more seating available. The upstairs area features an in-built screen to show all the world cup matches. If you planning to visit with a big group of 14+ people, you can even privately hire the entire 1st-floor dining space! During the World Cup period, Berenjak is also running an exclusive Feast menu, priced at £85 per person, featuring a range of their popular mezze & famous kebabs. For those matches taking place in the morning, they will be launching their first-ever brunch menus as well for the occasion!

Halal status: Chicken & lamb are halal. Alcohol is served at the restaurant.

Brigadiers

Apart from fine-dining Indian food, Brigadiers is also a live sports bar in the city and will be, of course, playing the World Cup. Throughout the tournament, they will be serving their Festive Menu (£85 per person), which requires a minimum of 2 persons. Not all items on the menu are halal so make sure you stick with chicken and lamb when ordering. Vegetarian options are also available. Additionally, they have now also fully decked out their terrace area with more screens and heaters, which provide a different atmosphere to enjoy the game and celebrations!

Halal street food stalls there include Nanny Bill’s (i.e. one of the top halal burgers in London) as well as Baba G’s. Vinegar Yard will be showing all the England games on their big screen – link below to check out the timings and reservations. Don’t worry about the cold, Vinegar Yard is covered during these winter months and heaters are installed to keep you warm.

With six large screens available, the snazzy new Arcade Food Hall at Tottenham Court Road will be showing all 64 matches for the World Cup. Halal food options include Manna – who’s known for its Smash Burgers and Nashville Hot Chicken, Shatta & Toum for mezze & shawarma, as well as Hero Indian (only chicken is halal). For all England matches and Finals matches, there will also be special guest DJs and MCs hosting the matches.

Saucy wings and football sounds like the perfect combo, doesn’t it? There’s no better place than the award-winning chicken restaurant, Wingmans, to catch all the actions of the World Cup while enjoying some of the best wings in town. Wingmans will be showing all the World Cup matches at their Shoreditch and Kilburn branches (unfortunately not including the Soho one) and any reservations made during scheduled match time will be automatically arranged to tables in view of the big screen.

More wings this way! Wing Shack Co is offering a World Cup package of 90 minutes of unlimited wings during all England matches as well as the quarter finals, semi finals, and finals games. This will be a ticketed event only so make sure you reserve yourself a spot online and simply show up! The 90-minute unlimited wings offer starts at kick-off and include 3 drink tokens as well.

Flat Iron Square

Flat Iron Square has been a popular spot for catching all the sporting actions and is known for its great atmosphere. It’s no exception for this year’s World Cup where they will be showing all matches on their big screens. Tickets for the England games are already sold out but there are still ticketing packages available for other games on their website (link below). For food, there is Lil’Watan, which is a Lebanese stall with halal chicken available and known for its giant stuffed pitta bread!
