Easy Iced Tiramisu Latte Recipe

Tiramisu latte has somewhat hit the social media frenzy. If you love coffee and love tiramisu, this Iced Tiramisu Latte recipe is like a dream come true. This recipe brings together bold espresso, spiked with a hint of cocoa, and topped with a lightly whipped mascarpone cream, resulting in a cafe-style drink that’s indulgent yet balanced. It may sound fancy, but it’s incredibly easy to make at home with just a few ingredients.

Why You’d Love This Tiramisu Latte Recipe

It tastes literally like a tiramisu but in the form of a drink. Whilst it’s nice to go out to a coffee shop and treat yourself, you can save a lot of money by making it at home when the recipe is that easy. In my opinion, this tiramisu latte recipe tastes even better than some cafes – it’s a win-win situation. Lacing the espresso with a touch of cocoa powder enhances the body and offers a bold richness that makes this tiramisu latte a standout. Trust me, you’re going to love it!

How to Make an Iced Tiramisu Latte at Home

Tiramisu Latte Ingredients

  • Espresso – I made mine with an induction Moka pot. See recipe notes for using instant coffee.
  • Unsweetened Cocoa Powder – for enhancing the espresso and for dusting
  • Ice
  • Milk – I use full-fat milk, but you can use any milk of your choice
  • Mascarpone Cheese
  • Double Cream
  • Icing Sugar
  • Vanilla Extract

Recipe Notes

  • If you don’t have any coffee machines or equipment to make espresso and are using instant coffee instead, mix 2 teaspoons of instant coffee with ¼ cup of hot water. Instant coffee doesn’t quite replicate the taste of a good espresso, but this method would be close enough.
  • Cocoa powder is typically unsweetened and works perfectly for this recipe to enhance the coffee body & flavour. Do not substitute with instant chocolate powder.
  • Make sure to whisk the mascarpone cream properly until soft peaks form before topping it on the latte. If under-whisked, the cream layer would be too dense and sink into the latte.
  • Hot espresso could also melt the cream topping layer. Letting the espresso cool down for 1-2 minutes would be ideal to keep your presentation on point!

Kitchen Products You May Need

  • I’m a fan of making espresso with my Bialetti Moka potGood quality Moka pots do matter to the coffee flavour due to construction, heat distribution, and durability reasons. Bialetti is a long-standing premium brand for Italian Moka pots and is widely recognised to make some of the best coffees.
  • If you have an induction hob like I do, Bialetti also offers induction Moka pots. Alternatively, you can get an induction plate, which acts as an adaptor for the use of coffee pots and pans on induction hobs.
  • An electric frother can be super helpful and efficient for whipping the mascarpone cream. I recommend getting one that comes with a double whisk head, as I find single-head ones too weak to whisk cream effectively to the desired texture.
