A new addition to Covent Garden’s list of halal restaurants, Gura Gura has immediately risen to popularity with its beautiful interiors & pan-Asian food offerings. Featuring cuisines from Japan to all across southeast Asia, whether it’s sushi or dim sum, it’s got a variety of dishes to tickle your fancy!

The Residency

The Residency was one of my favourite restaurants in 2022. It’s a snazzy neighbourhood restaurant with excellent quality food and impeccable service. Mr White’s Steakhouse

Located bang on in the heart of Leicester Square, Mr White’s by Marco Pierre White, is the perfect halal steakhouse in London. It’s also got beautiful interiors, making it a great romantic dinner spot for a date. Read more about our full review of Mr White’s Steakhouse here.

Copper Chimney

Located in Westfield White City, Copper Chimney would make a lovely romantic date night spot combined with a shopping trip! Their Lamb Chops and Chicken Tikka are a must-order, and we recommend finishing with their gajar halwa & pistachio kulfi for desserts.

Ceru Queensway

The Queensway branch of the Levantine restaurant, Ceru, features a chillaxing but sophisticated ambience, making it an ideal romantic restaurant spot in London. The lamb shoulder and the “Flavours of Baklava” ice cream were our favourites there. Read our full review of Ceru here.

Park Row

Looking for something more theatrical for your romantic date meal? Check out the DC-themed Park Row restaurant, which got all the theatrics and grandeur to charm your date. We recommend going for the Afternoon Tea, which is more reasonably priced and has better reviews compared to their dinner service.

With the goal to “shake up” London’s dining scene, Akoko brings a “progressive & elevated” take on West African fine dining. Run by Masterchef finalist William Chilila, Akoko’s tasting menu draws inspiration from Nigeria, Ghana, and Senegal and takes you on a culinary journey. The smoked goat jollof rice is a showstopping centrepiece, something everyone can take comfort in, as well as the likes of beef suya, quail yassa, etc.

Frog by Adam Handling

If you are looking for something different and are willing to splurge, Frog by Adam Handling could be a good pick. The Michelin-starred restaurant focuses on sustainable zero-waste British fine dining and offers a sophisticated dining experience. You can check out our full review here.

Inspired by old Shanghai, it doesn’t get more luxurious and glamorous for a Chinese restaurant at Park Chinois. With live entertainment available, it’s bound to be one of the most romantic restaurants around town for a date night out. Signature dishes include Duck de Chine, Wagyu Beef Ribs, Dim Sums, etc.
